Privacy Policy

Trade Circle ("Trade Circle," "we," "us") is a networking and business platform for trade contractors, operated by Mind At Ease Solutions. This policy explains what information we collect, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect what the service needs to run, we use it to run the service, and we do not sell personal information.
1. Accounts
When you create a Trade Circle account, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash — we never store or see your plain password). We use this to sign you in, secure your account, and send account-related email (for example, password resets and security notices).
2. Contractor profiles and portfolios
Contractors create public business profiles: business name, trade, service area, contact details they choose to publish, photos, and videos of their work. Anything a contractor puts on their public profile or portfolio is public by design — it is meant to be seen by customers and other contractors. Contractors can edit or remove their profile content, unpublished portfolios are not shown publicly, and deleting an account removes the public profile.
3. Leads and customer information
When a homeowner or customer submits a quote request or contacts a contractor through Trade Circle, we collect the information they provide (such as name, contact details, and a description of the job) and deliver it to the contractor they contacted. Contractors are responsible for how they handle customer information they receive; we use lead information to operate the marketplace, prevent spam and abuse, and — in aggregated, de-identified form — to understand how the platform is used. Customers can ask us what lead information we hold about them and request its deletion using the contact details at the bottom of this policy.
4. Payments
Paid plans and customer payments are processed by Stripe. Trade Circle does not receive or store full payment card numbers; card details go directly to Stripe and are handled under Stripe's own privacy policy. We store the records we need to run billing: your plan, subscription status, invoices, and Stripe identifiers (such as a customer ID) that contain no card numbers.
5. The YouTube integration (optional)
Contractors on eligible plans may connect their own YouTube channel so that a project video they upload to Trade Circle can also be posted to their channel. This section describes exactly what that involves, because it uses Google/YouTube access:
- What we access. When you connect, Google asks your permission for two things: (1) permission to upload videos to your channel, and (2) permission to read your channel's ID and title, used once at connect time so we can show you which channel is connected. That is all. We do not read your other videos, comments, subscribers, analytics, or any other part of your Google account.
- Tokens. Google gives us an access token and a refresh token for your channel. These are stored encrypted on our servers. They are the keys that let us upload on your behalf, so we guard them like passwords; they are never sold, never shared with third parties, and never shown to other Trade Circle members.
- Used only as you direct. We use this access only to upload a video you specifically confirm for posting inside Trade Circle — with the title, description, and visibility you approve on the confirmation screen. We never upload automatically, never upload anything you did not confirm, and never edit or delete videos already on your channel.
- Revoking. You can disconnect YouTube at any time in Trade Circle Settings, which deletes your stored tokens and channel information from our servers. You can also revoke Trade Circle's access at any time from your Google account's third-party access page. Revoking does not remove videos already posted to your channel — those are yours and stay under your control on YouTube.
- Google's terms. Use of the YouTube integration is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Trade Circle's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
6. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar browser storage:
- Essential cookies that keep you signed in and keep the site secure. The site does not work without these.
- Preference storage (for example, display settings) kept in your browser.
We do not run third-party advertising trackers. If we ever add analytics, they will be aggregate usage statistics, and this policy will be updated first.
7. When we share information
We share information only in these cases:
- With service providers who run pieces of the service for us (for example, Stripe for payments, and email/SMS delivery providers for alerts you opt into). They receive only what they need to do their job.
- As you direct — for example, posting a video to your YouTube channel, or displaying your public profile.
- For safety and legal reasons — to prevent fraud or abuse, or when required by law (for example, a valid court order).
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
8. Keeping and deleting information
We keep account and business records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for billing, security, and legal records. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time using the contact below; we will delete what we are not required to keep and confirm when it is done. YouTube connection data is deleted immediately when you disconnect, as described in section 5.
9. Security
Passwords are hashed, YouTube tokens are encrypted at rest, and access to production systems is limited to the people who operate Trade Circle. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable, current-standard steps to protect your information.
10. Children
Trade Circle is a business platform for adults. Accounts are for people 18 or older, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will note the new date at the top and, for significant changes, notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.
